UK expansion continues for Apleona with third acquisition

UK sees third acquisition by Apleona, a prominent company in the sector.

In a move to strengthen its position in integrated facility management and technical services, Apleona, a leading European provider of such services, has announced the acquisition of Corrigenda, a technical facility management company based in Fareham, South East England.

Founded in the year 2000, Corrigenda has focused on serving the public sector, education, and local authorities. The company offers a range of technical services, including energy management, maintenance, and installation services for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Prior to the acquisition, Corrigenda had around 200 employees. This marks Apleona's third acquisition in the UK, following its participation in Combined Technical Solutions (CTS) in London and Manchester in September 2022, and its acquisition of JCW Group Limited (JCW) in Royston a year ago. Both CTS and JW specialize in technical facility management, similar to Corrigenda.

Michael Engel, COO of the Apleona Group, stated that they will continue to expand their European platform through complementary acquisitions. The acquisition of Corrigenda is part of Apleona's larger strategy to achieve a leading market position in Europe, with a focus on the UK, Ireland, and other countries.

However, it's worth noting that the last previous acquisition target of Apleona in the United Kingdom, which was sold to Combined Technical Solutions in London and Manchester in September 2022 and subsequently to JCW Group Limited in Royston the following year, is not explicitly named in the available search results.

This acquisition comes as part of a series of strategic moves by Apleona, as they aim to consolidate their position in the facility management industry. With Corrigenda now under its wing, Apleona is poised to deliver even more comprehensive and efficient services to its clients across various sectors.
