Breaking News: Russian Drone and Missile Attacks Hit Multiple Cities in Ukraine

In a significant escalation of the ongoing conflict, Russia launched a series of drone and missile attacks on various parts of Ukraine overnight. Over a hundred combat drones were reportedly used, marking the first reported use of Russian fighter jets in the conflict.

The heaviest attack was on Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine. At least 25 deaths have been reported, making it one of the heaviest attacks in the three and a half years of war. Explosions were also heard in the cities of Cherkasy and Chernihiv.

The attack on Kyiv involved both combat drones and missiles. An industrial building in Zaporizhzhia was hit and set on fire during the attacks, but no earlier reported casualties were mentioned in the city. As of the latest official figures, the death toll in Kyiv stands at 25.

In response to the attacks, the Ukrainian air defense was activated in some locations. The search results do not provide information about the countries from which Russian strategic bombers launched the attacks on Kyiv. Six strategic bombers took off from Russian airports for potential attacks on Ukraine.

The regional military administrator of Zaporizhzhia, Ivan Fedorov, announced the incident on Telegram. No casualties have been reported in Zaporizhzhia as of the report.

Despite the attacks, Ukraine continues to stand firm against Russian aggression. The nation's resilience and determination to defend its sovereignty remain unwavering.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as more information becomes available. Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine during this difficult time.
