In the early hours of August 28, 2025, a break-in occurred at a gas station on Möllerung Street in Kücknitz, Lübeck. An alarm was triggered due to a smashed window, and upon arrival, the authorities found various items scattered on the floor inside the sales room.

The Kommissariat 12 of the District Criminal Inspectorate is handling the investigation, with extensive traces being secured at the gas station and footage from a video surveillance system being analysed.

The stolen goods included tobacco products worth over 6,700 euros. The police are examining connections between this incident and other incidents in Kücknitz, as well as potential links to similar incidents in Lübeck and Bad Schwartau since summer 2024.

A significant development in the case came when a tip led to a 21-year-old German suspect in connection with break-ins at two vending machines in Kücknitz. The suspect being investigated is the same individual.

The investigation may also involve identifying and apprehending the suspects involved, and it may lead to further updates or developments. The public is encouraged to provide any relevant information to the authorities.

The police have initiated investigations into the break-in at the gas station, and the focus remains on solving the case. During a search of the suspect's apartment, tobacco products and possible burglary tools were found.
