Unforeseen Blaze in Bottrop Homes Sparked by Garden Foliage
At 01:26 on a recent morning, the Bottrop Fire Department was alerted to a fire on Im Schlangenholt Street. The fire had broken out in a garden pavilion, approximately 30 square meters in size.
Upon arrival, two teams from the Bottrop Fire Department, equipped with breathing apparatus, initiated a heavy water attack to extinguish the fire. A total of 4000 liters of water were used in the effort.
The fire spread to outdoor furniture but did not pose a danger to any people. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
As the cause of the fire remains unknown, the police have initiated investigations to determine its origin. A pressurized gas cylinder was retrieved from the pavilion to prevent further damage. After the cylinder was removed, no further damage was caused.
Approximately 20 firefighters from Fire Station 1 and the voluntary fire brigade Eigen participated in the firefighting efforts. The scene of the fire was cleared by firefighters around 03:15.
The fire department did not report any additional details about the fire in this update. However, they confirmed that no people were in danger at the time of the fire, and no additional damage was caused after the retrieval of the pressurized gas cylinder.
The police continue their investigations to determine the cause of the fire and ensure the safety of the community.
