Uniform school day is now mandated by the Education Ministry
Schools across Russia will be hosting an extracurricular activity called "Conversations about the Important" on September 1. The topic for discussion will be "Why is learning important for a person?"
According to the Ministry of Education, the annual hour norm for students from 1st to 9th grade has been established. For 1st grade, the norm is between 620 and 653 hours, while for 2nd to 4th grade, it ranges from 782 to 884 hours. The annual hour norm for 5th grade is between 986 and 1088 hours, for 6th grade it's between 1020 and 1122 hours, and for 7th grade, it's between 1088 and 1190 hours. Unfortunately, no information about the annual hour norm for students beyond 9th grade was provided.
The flag-raising ceremonies and singing of the Russian anthem will take place at schools on September 1, whether indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. However, no specific details about the location or timing of these ceremonies were mentioned.
