In the quiet town of Witten, Germany, a cyclist was involved in a traffic accident on Saturday, August 30. The victim, a 52-year-old man from Essen, sustained minor injuries after braking sharply to avoid a collision with a black SUV.

The accident occurred on the bike lane of Wittener Straße, heading out of town, at house number 62. The source of the information is Police Bochum, transmitted via news aktuell.

The driver of the vehicle is believed to have been driving a black Mercedes SUV. Unfortunately, the driver stopped briefly at the scene but then left without checking on the injured cyclist. As a result, the Bochum Police have not released any information about the identity or whereabouts of the driver.

The Bochum Police are currently investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses. The public is being asked to provide any information they may have about the driver of the Mercedes SUV or the accident.
