Unique to Dresden Elbland alone!

The Elbland Dresden Tourism Association (TVED) has announced the return of the popular Days of Open Wine Estates in Saxony, taking place from 30th to 31st August 2025. This annual event invites wine enthusiasts and tourists to explore the picturesque Elbe region, from Diesbar-Seusslitz to Pillnitz.

Participating businesses organize their offers independently, offering a diverse program that includes wine tastings, vineyard and cellar tours, culinary extras, live music, and art exhibitions. Many businesses will offer an exclusive "warm-up" program on 28th and 29th August.

The event showcases the long journey from the vine plant to the wine glass, highlighting the people who contribute with heart and expertise. Two special lines run every 20 minutes, allowing for comfortable commuting between the winemakers.

The unique travel experience of the Open Wine Days derives from factors such as the scenic Elbland region, charming wine villages, historically shaped city gems, and the cultural metropolis of Dresden. This year, the event includes large wine estates like Schloss Wackerbarth, Weingut Schloss Proschwitz Prinz zur Lippe, and Weingut Hofloessnitz, as well as smaller wine estates and farm wineries.

Newcomers to the Open Wine Days in Saxony this year are the Besen Shacks Haselbusch and Flack's Beverage Gourmet. At "Flack's", there's the opportunity to taste a total of 16 Saxon wines on Thursday and Friday. Over the weekend, the Besen Shacks Haselbusch invites you to enjoy Flammkuchen and wine with a stunning view directly in the vineyard under the Friedensburg.

Special emphasis is placed on direct exchange with the winemakers, who provide insights into wine production, their philosophy, and the challenges of viticulture. The Goldriesling, a special grape variety only grown in significant quantities in Elbland, is highly valued by visitors.

The program impresses with creative formats such as concerts, "Loosecco Night", "Goat Wine", and a demonstration of the cooper's craft. For the first time, Oppacher Mineral Sources GmbH is supporting the Open Wine Days as a sponsor.

A day ticket costs 10 euros per person and allows unlimited use of both special bus lines and the Elbe ferry between Seußlitz and Niederlommatzsch throughout the day. This event is one of the most popular wine events in Dresden Elbland, with many tourists discovering and appreciating the peculiarity of the wine or wine-growing in Elbland during their visit.
