Unlawful Access to an Abandoned Medical Facility: Who Might Hold the Keys?

In the heart of Hagen, Germany, a mysterious incident occurred at the vacant St. Johannes Hospital on Hospitalstraße. On September 3, 2025, around 3 PM, unknown individuals broke into the hospital, forcefully opening a window in the basement area.

The perpetrators managed to evade detection, fleeing the hospital undetected between 3 PM on September 3 and 7 AM on September 4. Despite extensive searches, the identity of the individuals responsible for the break-in remains unknown.

The Hagen Police are appealing for witnesses who can support the investigation. Anyone who noticed any suspicious activities in the area of Hospitalstraße or can provide information on the identity of the perpetrators is asked to contact the Hagen Police at 02331 986 2066.
