A high-speed police chase took place in the District of Herzogtum Lauenburg, Germany, on Friday, September 2nd, 2025. The offender, who was not in possession of a valid driver's license, was initially encountered by an off-duty police officer near Geesthacht/Müssen.

According to a press release provided by Presseportal.de, the offender was driving a grey Audi. The chase ensued, involving several patrol cars, as the offender drove at high speed and recklessly overtook several vehicles, endangering bystanders. However, no third parties were injured during the incident.

The offender attempted to flee on foot after crashing into a ditch but was arrested by the police. The police interrogated the 21-year-old man from Reinbek, who is suspected in connection with the incident. Indications of possible intoxicant use before the drive were found, and a blood sample was ordered.

During the arrest, the offender sustained several injuries and required hospital treatment. Two police officers also sustained minor injuries.
