In a recent development, the Police Station Anklam has initiated an investigation into a suspected fraud case involving an online purchase of a motorhome for approximately 30,000 euros. The incident, reported on August 18, 2025, occurred in the town of Ueckermünde, Germany.
The victim, a 54-year-old German citizen, made the purchase through an unspecified online vehicle sales platform. After completing the transaction, arrangements were made for delivery via a shipping company from Sweden. However, the motorhome was not delivered, and it was later discovered that the website used for tracking and the shipping company were both fake.
The alleged seller of the motorhome is a 34-year-old man from the Uecker-Randow district, currently under investigation by the Anklam police station. The origin of the fraud is suspected to be from Sweden.
