Unveiling the pinnacle of shredding instruments: Periphery's Misha Mansoor reveals cutting-edge 7-string Juggernauts from Jackson, showcased on a home shopping TV show, with a blood-spilling presentation for maximum impact.
New Jackson Juggernaut HT7 and HT7P Guitars Unveiled
Jackson, in collaboration with Misha Mansoor, has expanded its signature collection with the introduction of three new 7-string guitars: the Juggernaut HT7 and HT7P. These guitars are equipped with Periphery riff-master's 21st-century specs, offering a unique blend of modern features and classic design.
The new guitars boast a neo-Jackson design, featuring an asymmetrical arrowhead-style 4x3 headstock, die-cast locking tuners in black, and all hardware in black. The bodies are solid poplar, while the necks are bolt-on roasted maple with an oiled-back finish and reinforced with carbon fibre rods to withstand the rigours of the road or intense home practice.
Each guitar in the collection sports dual humbuckers with a 5-way blade selector switch, providing five core tones. The fingerboard is a flatter 20" radius ebony board, with the edges rolled for comfort. For added convenience, the necks have 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, and Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side markers to help count out the frets when the lights are low.
The Juggernaut HT7 and HT7P come with string-through-body hardtail bridges as standard. The HT7P features a poplar burl veneer, adding a touch of elegance to its design. The guitars also have master volume and tone control, with the HT7P's tone control featuring a push/pull function.
The Juggernaut HT7 is available in two finishes: Signal Yellow and Silverburst Sparkle, while the HT7P comes in Chlorine Burst. Each guitar is priced at £1,099 for the HT7 and £1,149 for the HT7P.
Mansoor, known for using an EverTune bridge for live performances, finds it useful for digging into the guitar and having more fun onstage. However, he mentioned a slight feel and tone tax with EverTune bridges, preferring a good hardtail bridge for the best sound. Mansoor had previously teased an 8-string guitar with an EverTune, but gave no comment on its current status.
The new Juggernaut HT7 and HT7P guitars are now available. Whether you're a fan of Mansoor's music or simply looking for a high-quality 7-string guitar, these new additions to the Jackson lineup are worth considering.
