Upcoming 2025 Munich Motor Show Highlights: Expected Unveilings at the IAA Mobility Event

The automotive world is gearing up for an electrifying week as the IAA Mobility 2025 takes centre stage in Munich from 9-14 September. Here's a sneak peek at some of the exciting reveals set to electrify the event.

Renault is set to unveil the electric alternative to the Renault Clio, the Renault 5. The new model will feature petrol, hybrid, and electric powertrains, serving as a stylish and efficient option for city driving. Meanwhile, the Clio returns in its sixth generation, boasting a sharper front design and maintaining its popular five-door layout.

Audi is expected to tease a battery-powered revival of the TT at the event. This new model will preview design chief Massimo Frascella's new direction and share technology with the upcoming Porsche Cayman EV.

Mercedes-Benz will also make a splash at the show, unveiling the all-electric GLC EV. The new model will replace the unloved EQC and be built on a dedicated EV platform, promising improved performance and range.

Hyundai will debut the Ioniq 2, a compact SUV below the Ioniq 5. The new model aims to rival the Renault 4 and will share the E-GMP platform with Kia's upcoming EV2, offering an affordable and efficient electric vehicle option.

BYD will present novel electromobility production models at the event, including plans for a new factory in Hungary launching by the end of 2025. The factory will produce models like the compact Dolphin Surf, and BYD will showcase the Seal 6 DM-i TOURING with breakthrough super hybrid technology and "Flash Charging" capable of 1,000 kW charging power.

BMW will reveal the next-generation iX3 at the show, featuring an 800-volt system, ultra-fast charging, and a greater range than the outgoing car's 460 km. The design of the new model will be influenced by the Vision Neue Klasse X concept and will introduce BMW's radical Panoramic iDrive cabin.

Porsche will showcase the first-ever Cayenne Electric at the event, based on the PPE platform of the Macan Electric. The new model is expected to have a 100 kWh battery, dual-motor setup, and active suspension inherited from the Panamera.

Cupra will present the production-ready Raval city EV, which rides on VW's MEB Entry platform with front-wheel drive. The Spanish brand will also reveal the Tindaya concept, exploring future interiors and autonomous-inspired design language.

Volkswagen will debut multiple new vehicles at the show, including the ID.2 and its SUV sibling, the ID.2 X. The second-generation T-Roc will also make its first public appearance, featuring sharper styling, a more spacious interior with dual screens, and VW's first full-hybrid powertrain.

Polestar will bring the production-ready Polestar 5 to the event, a sleek four-door GT designed to challenge the Porsche Taycan and Lotus Emeya and representing Polestar's flagship performance model.

Vauxhall will unveil the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, a concept signalling the design DNA of the next-gen Corsa due in 2027. Mercedes-Benz will also showcase three headline models at the event, including the AMG GT Track Sport, a V8-powered machine designed for lap times.

Lastly, Audi will reveal the sporty VZ variant of the Raval city EV, adding a dash of excitement to the electric vehicle lineup at the show. With so many exciting reveals, the IAA Mobility 2025 promises to be an electrifying week for the automotive industry.
