Upcoming Community Garage Sale in Geist District on September 7th
The Geistviertel neighborhood flea market is set to return on Sunday, September 7, 2025. This annual event, organised by the community work department of Geistviertel (DRK Lünen) in cooperation with the city of Lünen, will take place from 10 am to 4 pm.
A new addition to this year's market will be a waffle stand operated by the support association of the DRK-Kita Geistervilla (Virchowstraße 20-22). Tim Jesella from the community work department expressed his delight at the strong involvement of the Geistviertel residents.
Visitors can expect a variety of goods for sale, including household items, clothing for all ages, antiques, toys, books, and handmade crafts. The total number of stalls registered for the market has not been specified but exceeds last year's number, with a total of 130 stalls registered.
Food and drinks, including grilled sausages and drinks, will be available for purchase in front of the city island (Friedrichstraße 65 B). Toilet facilities will be available for free use during the market.
Interested individuals can browse the market for free. It is advisable to plan enough time to visit the market, as it takes place from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday, September 7, 2025. No additional sales or activities beyond the waffle stand have been announced at this time.
