Upcoming information on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 - What we currently understand about the forthcoming shooter game

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the highly anticipated instalment in the popular first-person shooter series, has been officially revealed. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, the game is set to launch on November 14, 2025, and will be available on various platforms including Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC via Xbox PC, Battle.net, and Steam.

The game's story campaign, developed by Raven Software, will take players on an exhilarating journey led by David Mason. In this new adventure, players will face a manipulative enemy who weaponizes fear. The setting is the year 2035, more than 40 years after the events of Black Ops 6, where global weapons manufacturer, The Guild, originally involved in weapon trafficking and smuggling, is now offering to protect the world from itself thanks to automated weapons, drones, and robots, under the leadership of CEO Emma Kagan.

A new conspiracy might be uncovered with the return of Raul Menendez. Co-op options will be available throughout the game, and for the first time since Black Ops 3 (2015), the campaign will be playable in co-op. The campaign promises to be innovative with the introduction of a new Endgame mode, which Treyarch believes can "redefine what campaign can be in Call of Duty".

Multiplayer enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that the game will feature 18 maps at launch. The gameplay was showcased during the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 showcase, providing a sneak peek into the exciting action that awaits.

For those who can't wait to get their hands on the game, pre-orders are now live across all platforms. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta will be taking place ahead of launch, with Early Access and open beta periods scheduled for October 2 to October 8, 2025.

A trailer for the game was revealed at the end of June 2025's Xbox Games Showcase, generating immense excitement among fans. It's worth noting that Battlefield 6 is also set to be released later in the year, promising a fierce competition in the world of first-person shooters.

The initial reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 took place during the Summer Game Fest 2025 schedule, marking the start of the countdown to one of the most anticipated games of the year. So, buckle up and get ready for an adrenaline-pumping experience when Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 releases on November 14, 2025.
