In the recently-concluded T20I series, Australia emerged victorious over their opponents by a margin of 2-1. Glenn Maxwell's unbeaten 62 off 36 balls was instrumental in the series decider.
As for the top of the table, India holds the number one spot with an impressive 4471 points and a rating of 124. New Zealand is in second place with 4160 points and a rating of 109, just ahead of Australia, which currently sits in third with 3837 points and a rating of 109, having played six fewer matches than the Kiwis.

South Africa remains in sixth place with a rating of 96, following a strong performance in the World Test Championship (WTC) final in June, where they clinched their first ICC title in 27 years. The Proteas also showed resilience in recent months, challenging Australia in ODIs and reaching the final of the WTC.
The upcoming ODI series between South Africa and Australia will take place at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay and Cazaly's Stadium in Cairns, starting from August 19. Both teams last played an ODI after their respective semi-final exits in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
No prior information about a South African player smashing a hat-trick of no-look sixes was provided. However, Dewald Brevis of South Africa did score a 41-ball century in the second T20I, keeping the series alive.
As the cricket world gears up for this much-anticipated series, fans can look forward to some exciting and closely-contested matches between these two formidable teams.
