Updated start times for Asia Cup matches in UAE, with the revised schedule now unveiled
Asia Cup 2025: A Cricket Extravaganza in the UAE
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the schedule for the highly anticipated Asia Cup 2025, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates from September 9 to 28, 2025. The tournament will be held across two world-class venues: Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The opening match of the tournament will feature the UAE facing Oman on Monday, September 15, at 4pm local time at the Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi. The following day, the Pakistan vs UAE match will kick off the tournament in Dubai at 6:30pm.
The tournament will consist of 19 matches in total, with Dubai hosting 11 matches and Abu Dhabi hosting 8 matches. Tickets for the matches went live on Friday, with prices starting from Dh40 for Abu Dhabi matches and Dh50 for Dubai matches. They can be purchased on Platinum List.
On Wednesday, September 17, Pakistan will take on India at 6:30pm in Dubai, marking one of the most highly anticipated matches of the tournament. The India vs Pakistan match will also take place on Sunday, September 14, at the same time and venue.
The tournament will follow a round-robin format, with teams divided into two groups, A and B. The matches for Group A will take place on Thursday, September 18 (Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi at 6:30pm), Wednesday, September 24 (A1 vs B2 in Dubai at 6:30pm), and Friday, September 26 (A1 vs B1 in Dubai at 6:30pm). The matches for Group B will take place on Friday, September 19 (India vs Oman in Abu Dhabi at 6:30pm), Tuesday, September 23 (A2 vs B1 in Abu Dhabi at 6:30pm), and Thursday, September 25 (A2 vs B2 in Dubai at 6:30pm).
The final match of the tournament will take place on Sunday, September 28, in Dubai at 6:30pm. Monday, September 22 and Saturday, September 27 have been designated as rest days, while Monday, September 29 serves as a reserve day.
The start time for 18 out of the 19 Asia Cup 2025 matches has been updated to 6:30pm local time (Gulf Standard Time). The Bangladesh vs Afghanistan match will take place on Tuesday, September 16, at 6:30pm in Abu Dhabi. The UAE vs Oman match on Monday, September 15, will start at the earlier time of 4pm local time in Abu Dhabi.
