Updated transport administration in Efferen
In the Efferen district of Hürth, a new traffic management system has been successfully implemented at the intersection of Luxemburger Straße and Kaulardstraße, thanks to a collaborative effort between the city of Hürth and Straßen.NRW.
The traffic measure, aimed at reducing tailbacks and improving traffic safety, was planned by the city planning office of Hürth. A key part of this measure was the creation of a separate right-turn lane, marked off into Kaulardstraße.
Over the weekend of 12th to 13th July, marking work for the new traffic management system was carried out, and the traffic measure was implemented without significant disruption to traffic. The separate right-turn lane, a crucial component of the system, allows vehicles to flow better, even when the railway crossings are closed.
According to Mayor Dirk Breuer, the new traffic management system has resulted in noticeable relief for all road users. He stated that the system has been successfully implemented and is expected to improve the overall traffic flow and safety in the Efferen district of Hürth.
This new traffic management system is part of the ongoing construction projects in Hürth, with the city council committed to making the city's roads safer and more efficient for all users. The traffic measure at the intersection of Luxemburger Straße and Kaulardstraße is just one example of how Hürth is working to improve its infrastructure for the benefit of its residents and visitors.
