In the Alb-Donau district, several incidents of crime have been reported over the past week. Here's a summary of the events and the advice from local authorities.
Window Smashing in Leutkirch
An unknown perpetrator smashed the passenger window of a VW in the parking lot behind the town hall on Marktstraße in Leutkirch between 8 AM and 6 PM on Monday. The estimated damage is several hundred euros. The identity of the window breaker remains unknown.
Fraud in Isny and Fronreute
In Isny, fraudsters gained access to an 80-year-old's online banking last week, resulting in a financial loss of several hundred euros. In Fronreute, a young adult transferred a five-figure sum to unknown perpetrators over the past few weeks due to a case of fraud and extortion.
Burglaries in Ravensburg and Bad Waldsee
Thieves stole tools worth around 5,000 euros from a company vehicle in St.-Martinus-Weg, Ravensburg, between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning. In Bad Waldsee, burglars broke into a company building in Rudolf-Diesel-Straße and stole cash from a cash register. The damage to the broken door in the Bad Waldsee break-in is estimated at several hundred euros. The Bad Waldsee Police Post has taken over the investigation.
In a separate incident, burglars broke into a flat in Karmeliterstraße, Ravensburg, and stole a toolbox containing tools worth over 1,000 euros.
Accidents in Amtzell and Kißlegg
In Amtzell, a 20-year-old motorcyclist was severely injured in a traffic accident on Monday around 6 p.m. The Honda motorcycle involved in the accident suffered damage of around 4,000 euros.
In Kißlegg, a side-on collision involving two motorcyclists occurred on Monday evening, resulting in severe injuries for one rider and moderate injuries for another. The total damage to the motorcycles was approximately €15,000.
Police Warnings
The Ravensburg Police Station is accepting information about crimes and perpetrators in Ravensburg and Bad Waldsee at Tel. 0751/803-3333. They are warning against transferring money to supposed internet acquaintances due to the risk of "love-scamming" and "sextortion."
