Urban Makeover Overhaul by Urban Company Offers One-Day Micro Home Transformations in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and More Cities
Urban Company Announces Launch of Sub-brand Revamp for One-Day Home Makeovers
Urban Company, the Gurugram-based marketplace for services, has entered a new phase with the launch of its sub-brand, Revamp. Revamp offers one-day micro home makeovers, providing users with more than 300 curated looks, including premium wall panels, integrated lighting, and modular furniture.
The new sub-brand was unveiled in the fiscal year ending March 2025, marking a significant milestone for the company as it recorded its first annual profit, posting net income of Rs 239.7 crore. This growth was due to tighter cost controls and a one-time tax credit, with the operating revenue growing 38% year-on-year to Rs 1,144 crore.
Urban Company has partnered with designer and entrepreneur Masaba Gupta for the advertising campaign of the new brand, Revamp. Masaba Gupta features prominently in the campaign, lending her unique style and flair to the brand's image. However, as of the current information, there is no mention of any specific designer or entrepreneur partnering with Urban Company for advertising campaigns beyond Revamp.
In a bid to diversify its revenue streams, Urban Company is pushing to build product-led service lines. In addition to Revamp, the company has introduced branded consumer products, including water purifiers and smart door locks. It reportedly plans to launch air conditioners by Summer 2026.
The launch of Revamp is part of a larger strategy, as Urban Company prepares for a potential public issue. The company filed a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for a Rs 1,900 crore public issue in late April. The public issue, which includes a fresh issue of up to Rs 429 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 1,471 crore, is likely ahead of Urban Company's planned initial public offering.
However, it's important to note that as of the information provided in this article, Urban Company has not mentioned any plans for an initial public offering or a public issue.
Revamp is currently available in four cities: Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The company operates a marketplace for services such as salon treatments, home cleaning, pest control, appliance repair, and painting. With the launch of Revamp, Urban Company continues to expand its offerings and solidify its position as a leading player in the services market.
Urban Company has raised over $350 million from investors including Accel, Tiger Global, Prosus, and Steadview Capital. The company's growth and success are a testament to its innovative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality services to its customers. As it continues to grow and evolve, Urban Company is poised to make a significant impact on the services industry in India and beyond.
