Valais in Autumn: A Swiss Alps Treasure Unveiled

Autumn is the perfect time to explore Valais, a Swiss region where the Alps dominate the landscape. The clear light, hushed trails, and sharp air make it an ideal season to visit. One of the highlights is the Barme Plateau, a secluded meadow near the French border, encircled by sheer limestone cliffs and dense pine forests. However, the identity of the operator of the cable cars to the viewpoints remains unknown.

Valais, located in Switzerland's south west, is home to numerous natural wonders. The Mattmark Reservoir, perched above the village of Saas-Almagell at 2,200m, is a sight to behold.
