Vehicle Accident Involving Wild Boar Encounter
On Monday night, a tragic incident occurred on the L306 road from Muellennbach towards Meinerzhagen. A 29-year-old driver from Meinerzhagen was behind the wheel of a Golf vehicle when he collided with a group of wild boars. The collision resulted in minor injuries to the 29-year-old passenger and a one-year-old child, who were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Sadly, the impact of the collision proved fatal for the wild boars, with eleven wild boars, including ten piglets and one sow, losing their lives in the incident. The responsible hunter of the area was notified following the incident, although the name of the hunter remains undisclosed in the available reports.
The incident occurred near the entrance to Unnenberger StraΓe around 11 pm. The car was no longer roadworthy and required towing.
