Venture Capital Investments in Cryptocurrency: Rain Gathers $58 million, OrangeX Obtains $20 million

This week has seen a significant surge in crypto venture capital funding, with a total of $234.9 million raised across various projects. The activity was dominated by Series B rounds, with several major players securing substantial amounts.

One such player is M^0, a decentralized middleware protocol, which raised an additional $40 million in a Series B round. This brings M^0's total funding to $97.5 million. Notable investors in M^0 include Polychain Capital, Ribbit Capital, and Endeavor.

OrangeX, a global crypto trading platform, also raised funds this week, securing an additional $20 million in a Series B round, totaling $30 million in funding. The round was led by Kryptos and SCI Ventures.

Another notable fundraise was by aPriori, a project operating in the DeFi, liquidity, and staking sectors. aPriori gathered $20 million in a strategic round, with investors including HashKey Capital, Pantera, and Primitive Ventures.

Smaller projects in the crypto sector also raised amounts between $1.5 million and $15 million this week. These include Splendor Labs, which secured $4.5 million in a Seed round, and Hemi Labs, which raised $15 million in an unknown round.

Rain, a stablecoin interoperability platform, raised $58 million in a Series B round, led by Sapphire Ventures, Dragonfly, and Galaxy Digital. Rain has now raised a total of $88.5 million in funding so far.

Other projects that raised significant funds this week include Magne AI, which received $10 million in a Strategic round, and Superfluid, which gathered $2 million in a Public sale.

In addition to the crypto sector, other industries also saw significant fundraising this week. The Exploration Company raised 150 million euros in a Series B round to develop its European spacecraft Nyx and expand its team to 200 employees. Plancraft secured 38 million euros in its Series B round, focusing on artificial intelligence software for craft businesses. Midas raised 80 million dollars in its Series B round as a major fintech investment in Turkey. Lidrotec secured 13.5 million dollars in a Series A2 round for its laser cutting technology for the semiconductor industry.

These funding developments were according to Crypto Fundraising data. It's clear that the crypto space continues to attract significant investment, with major players and smaller projects alike securing substantial funds this week.
