Vibrant Alleyways: The City's Transformation by Elusive Street Artist, Dared, in Berlin

In the vibrant neighbourhood of Kreuzberg, a street artist known as Dared is currently working on the facade of a new café. His unique style, characterised by anthropomorphic animal characters, has been captivating the city for years.

Dared's street art career began as a teenage graffiti artist in Marzahn. Fast forward to today, and his work can be found in cities all over the world, from Texas to Paris, London, and Mallorca.

One of his most iconic characters, Faye the fox, was inspired by urban foxes he encountered while putting up his Phatty pictures. Faye, depicted as female, represents a connection between wild animals and people, carrying a positive cultural meaning.

Faye is not alone in Dared's street art series. Other recurring characters include French bulldogs, bats, and more. Phatty, Dared's first character, was inspired by his friend's charismatic dog. Phatty is depicted with human-like attributes, such as being cosy, sporty, and liking to dress up.

Batsy the bat, a new character in Dared's street art, is depicted as goofy and science-oriented. According to Dared, Batsy shadows Faye, ensuring her safety and protecting the balance in the mystical haven of the Red Forest, an imaginary land created by Dared where his characters live.

Dared's goal is to create a mirror to our society and to tell surprising stories around his heroes that draw people out of their everyday lives. He rekindled his passion for street art after joining Graffiti Lobby Berlin and meeting international street artists.

In addition to his street art, Dared conducts workshops for aspiring artists in stencil-making and character development. He shares his knowledge and passion, inspiring a new generation of street artists.
