Tommy Fleetwood Wins Tour Championship 2025
Tommy Fleetwood claimed a thrilling victory at the Tour Championship 2025, finishing three strokes ahead of the chasing pack. The English golfer's impressive performance saw him clinch the title with an 18-under-par total of 262.
Fleetwood's closest competitors were Patrick Cantlay and Russell Henley, who shared second place, while Scottie Scheffler finished fourth. The players in seventh and eighth place were Cameron Young and Corey Conners, respectively.
Cantlay's tournament took a turn for the worse early on, as he found himself in a bunker short of the green at the 11th, resulting in a bogey. Despite this setback, he managed to recover with birdies at the third and sixth holes. However, a bogey at the 16th hole and another at the 10th left him playing catch-up to Fleetwood.
Fleetwood's victory was a three-shot triumph over Cantlay and world number five Russell Henley. Henley's round included two birdies and one bogey, resulting in a one-under 69.
American Cameron Young posted a impressive 66, while Canadian Corey Conners charged up the leaderboard with an outstanding eight-under-par 62. US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley capped another strong week with an even-par 70.
Fleetwood's round was not without its ups and downs. He was erratic at times but found his swing again on the 11th or 12th hole. Tied with Cantlay for the lead to start the round, Fleetwood made a birdie at the second hole. He gave a stroke back at the fifth hole but extended his lead with birdies at the sixth and seventh.
Despite Cantlay getting closer to Fleetwood with a birdie at the 10th, the pressure seemed to get to him after that, as he carded a one-over par 71. Fleetwood preserved his lead with a great par save at the eighth but made a bogey at the 10th, reducing his lead to one stroke.
Fleetwood went to the 17th with a three-shot lead and fired a two-under-par 68 in the final round to secure his victory. The Tour Championship 2025 will undoubtedly go down as one of Fleetwood's most memorable victories, as he demonstrated his resilience and determination to come out on top in a highly competitive field.
