In the heart of Livry-Gargan, a suburb near Paris, France, a disturbing event took place on February 3rd. A video circulating online since early February showed a man being stabbed on Boulevard Jean-Jaurรจs.

The perpetrator, a 33-year-old man known to the police for prior criminal offenses, has a history of violence, having already taken a life years ago. He is currently under treatment.

The house where the incident took place is easily recognizable via a green marking on Google Street View. Diagonally opposite, a round sign with the inscription "Super Bock" (red marking) is visible in the video. According to Google Street View, this sign hangs in front of a restaurant.

A reverse image search was used to find a news report about the incident, confirming its occurrence in France. Contrary to some claims, the video was not from Berlin-Steglitz, Germany, but from Livry-Gargan, France.

It's important to note that there is no evidence of a high number of daily gang rapes involving asylum seekers, as some claims suggest. The perpetrator in this specific incident is reported to be mentally ill.

Recent reports have highlighted that this claim about asylum seekers' criminality made by Merz is misleading. The incident in Livry-Gargan should not be used to generalize or stigmatize the entire asylum seeker community.

The incident has not gone unnoticed, with no media in Germany failing to report on this unfortunate event. However, it's crucial to ensure that such incidents are reported accurately and not used to perpetuate misleading narratives.

The video shared online captured a passing bus with French writing on it, adding to the evidence that the incident took place in France, not the Czech Republic as some may have initially believed.

As always, it's essential to verify information before sharing it, especially when it comes to sensitive topics like this one. Let's strive for accuracy and understanding in our reporting and discussions.
