Vietnam consistently values strengthening diplomatic ties with China, asserted the President.

President Luong Cuong of Vietnam recently visited China, marking a significant moment in the strengthening of relations between the two nations. The visit included a meeting with Zhao Leji, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China.

During the meeting, President Luong Cuong praised the success of the first meeting of the Vietnam-China Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee. He also emphasized that strengthening relations with China is a top priority for Vietnam.

Zhao Leji extended warm congratulations to Vietnam on its successful National Day celebrations and expressed gratitude for the cordial reception during his visit to Vietnam. He also underscored the importance of strengthening traditional friendship and collaboration to build a community of shared future.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of boosting cooperation in various fields. Zhao emphasized the need to promote the role of legislative bodies to build political trust and advance substantive cooperation across various fields, particularly in science-technology and strategic transport infrastructure. President Luong Cuong urged the two legislatures to continue creating favorable conditions for both countries to enhance political trust, improve the efficacy of substantive cooperation, and support each other's development.

Zhao also suggested intensifying high-level exchanges and capitalizing on the efficacy of cooperation mechanisms like the bilateral steering committee and the "3+3" strategic dialogue. He called for the early convening of the first meeting of the Vietnam-China joint committee on railway cooperation.

President Luong Cuong expressed his impression of China's successful organization of the commemoration of the victory over fascism and acknowledged China's remarkable development under the leadership of the CPC. He also warmly recalled the attendance of Chinese leaders at the ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of Vietnam.

In addition, Zhao affirmed the NPC's readiness to work closely with the Vietnamese National Assembly to effectively implement the common perceptions reached by the top leaders of both countries. He also affirmed that the community of shared future aligns with the interests of both nations and contributes to peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

President Luong Cuong congratulated Zhao on the success of his first official visit to Vietnam in his current role and emphasized the importance of tightening cooperation between the two legislative bodies. The National Assembly President who met with Zhao Leji was Tran Thanh Man, the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam.

Overall, the visit signifies a commitment from both nations to strengthen their relations and work together for mutual benefits and regional peace and development.
