Villa's potential acquisition of Nicolas Jackson might unwittingly influence Alexander Isak's upcoming decisions
In the world of football, transfer rumours are a constant buzz, and the ongoing saga surrounding Alexander Isak's future at Newcastle United is no exception.
According to Eddie Howe, the club's manager, the Saga involving Isak is coming to an end soon. Reports suggest that talks between Isak and Aston Villa are ongoing, with a figure around £150m potentially persuading Newcastle United to agree to a deal.
The move for Isak to Liverpool, however, depends on Financial Sport Group's (FSG) willingness to offer a record-breaking British deal. It is the club management or designated transfer negotiators of Liverpool who lead the negotiations for Isak's transfer, while simultaneous negotiations for Nicolas Jackson with Aston Villa are conducted by the relevant parties from both clubs.
Isak has been a top-scorer for Newcastle United since joining the club and has been professional and contributed greatly to the team. Eddie Howe believes that it is a lose-lose situation for Newcastle United regarding the situation with Isak.
If Isak were to leave, the club may consider other strikers like Ollie Watkins and Yoane Wissa. Interestingly, Manchester United had previously shown interest in Ollie Watkins. If Watkins and Yoane Wissa were to join Newcastle United, Isak's move to Liverpool could be possible.
Meanwhile, the future of Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa remains uncertain. If Jackson moves to Aston Villa, Newcastle United may have another striker available. Jackson's move to Aston Villa is progressing, with both parties willing to reach an agreement.
Eddie Howe has stated that it has been an unfortunate few months for the club regarding Isak. After the situation with Isak is resolved, Newcastle United can focus on football again. Isak, in the meantime, is currently training away from the first-team group at Darlsey Park.
The initial offer of £120m from Liverpool for Isak was rejected by Newcastle United. The negotiations continue, and the outcome of the transfer saga is eagerly awaited by fans of both clubs. (Source: TEAMtalk and Fabrizio Romano)
