Violent Theft Occurs at Theodor-Heuss Park
In the early hours of last night, a disturbing incident unfolded in Soest's Theodor-Heuss-Park. At 00:03, a case of aggravated theft and assault took place.
An innocent bystander witnessed the incident as a 25-year-old man from Somalia approached four people sitting in the park and asked for a cigarette. Without warning, the four individuals – a 19-year-old male from Bayreuth, an 18-year-old female from Lippetal, another 18-year-old female from Lippetal, and a 40-year-old male from Soest – began to physically attack the victim.
The assault was violent, with the perpetrators punching and kicking the victim. One of the attackers allegedly struck the victim in the face with a bottle, resulting in a black eye, a bloody lip, and facial swelling.
The victim, who had an outstanding arrest warrant, was taken to the nearest hospital by ambulance for treatment. During the hospital visit, several bags of marijuana and amphetamines were found during a search.
After treatment, the victim was arrested. The police then conducted a search and found four suspects matching the witness's description. However, after the measures were completed, all four were provisionally arrested and released.
