In Lutherstadt Wittenberg on August 29, 2025, a woman was arrested for repeatedly throwing objects onto the tracks at the main station. The incident occurred around 22:30.

Upon entering track four, the woman threw objects onto the tracks, prompting an urgent track closure and the dispatch of state and federal police to the scene. The woman was subsequently removed from the danger zone by state police officers.

A voluntary breath alcohol test showed a reading of 2.68 per mille, and the woman was initially taken to the Wittenberg police station before being handed over to the federal police station in Dessau.

It was later discovered that the woman had failed to appear for her scheduled main trial date for theft with weapons, theft in conjunction with property damage, or housebreaking. The arrest warrant for these offences was issued by Eisenach District Court a month prior and was served on the woman.
