Wanted: Eyewitnesses of break-ins in Bergheim and Erftstadt, as per Polish police investigation.
The Rhein-Erft County Police are currently investigating a series of break-ins that occurred between Monday afternoon (11th August) and Tuesday morning (12th August).
In Lechenich, unknown individuals forced their way into a house on Elsa-Brändström Street, with the break-in discovered around 8:30 am on Tuesday. The lead investigator, Detective Inspector Klaus Meier, is heading the investigation. The police officers documented the traces at the scene and drew up a criminal complaint. The stolen items include electronics.
The suspects also forced open a fence element and a cellar door to gain entry to a house in Erftstadt-Lechenich. The investigation into this break-in is now being handled by the detectives of the 13th Criminal Investigation Department.
In a separate incident, suspects forced open the door to a warehouse in Bergheim-Paffendorf on Walter-Gropius Street. No further details about the stolen items have been provided. In Paffendorf, the detectives of the 21st Criminal Investigation Department are investigating the break-in at the warehouse. The stolen items from this warehouse include various electronic devices.
