Wanted: Witnesses for the Escape Incident in BAB 81, Böblingen
On July 3, 2025, a hit-and-run traffic incident occurred at the Boeblingen-Hulb exit of Bundesautobahn 81 in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The incident took place around 10:10 AM while a 57-year-old truck driver was merging onto BAB 81 towards Stuttgart from Bundesstraße 464 coming from Renningen.
According to the Ludwigsburg Traffic Police, an unknown car driver illegally overtook the truck from behind at high speed. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the truck driver swerved left, hitting a guardrail. The unknown driver did not stop to assess the damage caused, which is estimated to be approximately 5,700 Euros.
The identity of the unknown driver has not been publicly disclosed.
