Warm summer night at the Nagold-public swimming pool featuring film screenings

Over 150 visitors gathered for an unforgettable summer evening at the Nagold Swimming Pool, as they watched the documentary film "Weit. The Story of a Journey Around the World." The event, which was part of the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Nagold Swimming Pool, took place on a Friday evening in cooperation with the Dillweißensteiner associations.

Before the film started, Pforzheim musician Lú Thome captivated the audience with his guitar performance. The documentary film, shown as part of the anniversary events, chronicled the journey of Patrick and Gwen, along with their son Bruno, who embarked on a three-and-a-half-year, 97,000-kilometer expedition around the world without flying, starting from Freiburg in 2013.

The group traveled through various countries, including Tajikistan, Georgia, Iran, Pakistan, China, Mongolia, Japan, Mexico, Central America, and returned to Freiburg in 2016. They primarily used hitchhiking as a mode of transportation in many countries.

Christine Müh from the Municipal Cinema and Jörg Müller, initiator of the anniversary events, expressed their satisfaction with the event despite thunderstorm warnings. The showing of the documentary film was a success, as it had been previously shown last year at the Open-Air Cinema of the Kulturhaus Osterfeld and the Municipal Cinema.

The "Golden Anchor" provided a "Black Forest Buffet" for the Open-Air Cinema evening, including the famous "Kirschwässerle." The event was a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a unique cinematic experience.
