Over the weekend, Cologne Bonn Airport witnessed a series of arrests and fines due to various violations of the law.

A 31-year-old Moldovan citizen was stopped on Sunday and required to pay 1,500 EUR plus court costs for violating the Narcotics Act. Meanwhile, a 38-year-old German man was asked to pay 507 EUR or serve four days in prison on Saturday, due to driving without a license.

In a separate incident, a 50-year-old Turkish man was taken into custody on Saturday due to an arrest warrant for preventive detention. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Nuremberg-FΓΌrth ordered this preventive detention.

The Bonn Road Traffic Office had revoked the driver's license of the 38-year-old German man, who was intending to travel to Antalya on Saturday. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Koblenz issued an arrest warrant for him due to driving without a license.

The Turkish man provided a false address to evade probation supervision and left the country, which led to his arrest. He had previously been sentenced to six months in prison for driving without a license, but his case was reopened due to his flight risk, and an arrest warrant was issued.

The Federal Police at Cologne Bonn Airport executed four arrest warrants over the weekend. In three cases, suspects were able to avoid imprisonment by paying the required amount as an alternative to a custodial sentence. However, the 50-year-old man detained at the Cologne entry control on Saturday by the Federal Police and taken into custody, without the option to avoid paying 1,000 Euros or the prison sentence as other suspects had, is not identified by name in the search results provided.

It's important to remember that travelling comes with responsibilities, and it's crucial to ensure that all legal requirements are met before setting off on a journey.
