Weekend football kicks off with BHC facing off against Bayer Dormagen on Saturday evening.
The Bergischer HC is set to play its final test before the start of the new season this Saturday at 6:00 PM in Solingen Klingenhalle. The match will see the team face off against second-division rival, Bayer Dormagen.
Fans planning to attend the handball game are encouraged to use public transport, as parking space around the Klingenhalle may be limited due to announced demonstrations. Entrance fees for the evening are 10.00 euros for full-price tickets and 8.00 euros for reduced tickets.
Catering at the event will be provided by the youth department of the Bergischer HC, with all proceeds going to support the young players. Visitors are also in for a treat, as the sponsored jerseys worn by the team during the match will be given away to fans after the game.
The Bergischer HC has been working diligently to prepare for the match, with coach Arnor Gunnarsson analyzing their recent 24:34 defeat against TBV Lemgo Lippe. The team's defense against the tactical approach used by the seventh field player of Ostwestfalen has been a topic in training sessions.
The remaining team members will have their last chance to impress for their starting position in the upcoming season. Notable players under contract with the Bergischer HC include Søren Steinhaus, the playmaker, and Louis Oberosler, the goalkeeper.
Coach Julian Bauer, who comes from the fast-paced SC Magdeburg, will lead Bayer Dormagen in the match. He emphasizes the importance of a good defensive organization for his team. Markus Pütz, a coach for the Bergischer HC, expresses that the game is to gauge their progress and prepare for the upcoming season.
Unfortunately, Belal Massoud, a member of the Bergischer HC, is still in rehab and will not play in the final test.
Police forces may close parking spaces on Saturday, and visitors are advised to arrive earlier if possible. Despite these challenges, the Bergischer HC is ready to put on a show and kick off their season in style.
