Weekend yielded four arrest warrants
The Federal Police in Bavaria, Germany, have been active in ensuring the safety of train traffic and passengers, as well as preventing cross-border crime and irregular migration. Over the past week, several arrests have been made in connection with theft, benefit fraud, and obtaining false official documents.
On October 27th, the Federal Police executed four arrest warrants. A Polish train passenger was arrested at Lindau-Reutin station for theft and benefit fraud. The individual had been wanted by the Hanover and Karlsruhe public prosecutor's offices.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old Moldovan truck driver was arrested at Hoerbranz border crossing for obtaining false official documents. The Moldovan had been wanted by the Traunstein public prosecutor's office for over three and a half years.

The area of responsibility of the Federal Police covers the districts of Landsberg am Lech, Lindau, Ostallgäu, Oberallgäu, Unterallgäu, and Weilheim-Schongau, as well as the independent cities of Kaufbeuren, Kempten, and Memmingen. The districts of Weilheim and Lindau, under the Bundespolizeinspektion Kempten, prevent cross-border crime and irregular migration.
The public authority responsible for carrying out the actions of the Federal Police Directorate in Kempten is the Bundespolizeidirektion (Federal Police Directorate) itself, located in the city of Kempten. The local Bavarian police (Verkehrspolizeiinspektion Kempten) cover certain regional jurisdictions, but the Bundespolizeidirektion conducts federal-level actions.
Over 1,700 euros in outstanding fines were collected by the Federal Police over the weekend. For more information about the Federal Police, visit www.bundespolizei.de. The Bundespolizeiinspektion Kempten's press inquiries can be directed to Sabine Dittmann at the provided contact details.
