In a series of events unfolding across Hesse, Germany, authorities have been actively investigating a string of thefts involving motorcycles, construction machinery, and saddles.

Last Thursday afternoon, four suspected donation fraudsters were arrested by the police in Ober-Roden, Rödermark. The individuals, aged between 22 and 25, were pretending to collect money for people with disabilities on the parking lot of a discount store. An investigation was initiated for suspicion of fraud in the Ober-Roden incident.

Meanwhile, in Froschhausen, Seligenstadt, four saddles were stolen from a riding stable between Wednesday evening, 10 PM, and Thursday morning, 8 AM. No specific information about the witness who saw the saddle thief is currently available. Tips about the saddle theft can be submitted to the duty officer at Seligenstadt Police Station under the phone number 06182 8930-0.

In a separate incident, a motorcycle, a black Yamaha, was stolen from the Karlstraße area of Neu-Isenburg between Wednesday afternoon, 4 PM, and Thursday morning, 9 AM. Witnesses of the motorcycle theft are asked to report their tips to the police under the phone number 06102 2902-0. The stolen motorcycle was later found in a wooded area near the Darmstadt highway in Frankfurt.

The Heusenstamm police station conducted a control week for E-scooters due to an increase in thefts in their area of responsibility. Over 80 people were controlled by the enforcement officers during this week, including for administrative offenses such as riding with two people. Several drivers were charged criminally for driving their E-scooters without appropriate insurance.

The South East Hessian Police are also seeking witnesses regarding the construction machinery theft in Offenbach. Construction machinery worth 30,000 euros was stolen from an Iveco Sprinter in the Hessenring area, Offenbach, between 6 PM on Wednesday and 7:30 AM on Thursday.

In a more alarming development, the number of accidents involving E-scooters increased by 24% compared to the previous year in 2024 alone in the Heusenstamm area. A controlled juvenile driver must answer for the suspicion of receiving stolen goods in the Heusenstamm E-scooter control week.

Unfortunately, unknown individuals have also been involved in these incidents. In one case, it is suspected that the perpetrators may have manipulated the ignition lock of a motorcycle. Unknown individuals initially climbed over a gate to access the saddle room and made their getaway with the stolen saddles.

As the investigations continue, the police urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or information that could aid in the resolution of these cases.
