Wehen Wiesbaden claims victory in a late-game comeback against Schweinfurt

Rhine River Rhinos Secure Home Win in Rollstuhl Bundesliga, Advance to DRS Cup Quarterfinals

The Rhine River Rhinos, a wheelchair basketball team from Wiesbaden, have had a mixed start to their season in the 1st Rollstuhl Basketball Bundesliga. Despite a disorganized first half in their season opener, they managed to bounce back and secure their first home win against BSC Rollers with a convincing score of 87:49.

In their latest game against 1. FC Schweinfurt 05, the Rhinos struggled to find their rhythm, with their opponents pressing aggressively throughout the match. The first half ended goalless, with Florian Stritzel, the Rhinos' goalkeeper, making a crucial save in a penalty shootout and preventing a goal for Schweinfurt.

The game turned in the second half when Nils Doering, the coach of SV Wehen Wiesbaden, brought on fresh players, including Agrafiotis and Suarez. Agrafiotis scored the only goal for Wehen Wiesbaden in the 90th minute, securing a 1:0 victory for the home team.

Despite the win, the Rhinos' performance gap with RSB Thuringia Bulls, who they lost to in their season opener with a score of 72:96, remains a concern. The Bulls currently sit at the top of the table, while the Rhinos are in 5th place.

Looking ahead, the Rhine River Rhinos will face the wheelchair basketball team from Munich on December 15 and 16 in the DRS Cup quarterfinals. The Rhinos have reached the quarterfinals of the DRS Cup, but have yet to win a championship.

In other news, Geis hit a free-kick that hit the post during the game, narrowly missing out on a goal. The Rhinos will be hoping for better luck in their upcoming matches as they continue their quest for a championship.
