Weld County Provides Complimentary Landfill Coupons for Disposal of Bulky Items
The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCDPHE) has announced a new programme to help residents dispose of large items this autumn. The initiative, which launched last fall, aims to prevent large items from being dumped on the side of the roads and has already seen more than 550 tons of waste properly disposed of through the vouchers.
According to Jason Chessher, WCDPHE Director, items dumped on the roadside are hazardous and cost residents for cleanup. The programme offers free landfill vouchers for the disposal of these items this fall. Each voucher covers the disposal of one truckload or one trailer load weighing up to one ton at either the Front Range Landfill in Erie or the North Weld Landfill in Ault.
Residents can obtain one voucher per household, valid from September 2, 2025, to November 1, 2025. However, residents will be responsible for charges beyond the voucher limits. The programme is funded by a 10% surcharge on disposal fees at solid waste facilities.
Unfortunately, the search results do not contain any information about which cities in Colorado will allow free bulky waste disposal in autumn 2025 or the conditions required. It is recommended that residents check with their local authorities for more details.
The programme is part of WCDPHE's ongoing efforts to keep Weld County clean and safe for all residents. By using these vouchers, residents can ensure that their large items are disposed of properly and help reduce the risk of hazardous waste being dumped on the side of the roads.
