On Tuesday evening, a stray dog was hit by a vehicle on the L1002 road near Fretterode and Gerbershausen. The responding officers were from the Northhausen State Police Inspectorate.

The incident occurred at around 6:40 PM, with the stray dog running onto the road from Fretterode towards Gerbershausen. The driver involved in the accident was unharmed, but there was damage to the driver's car.

Thankfully, the injured dog was found on an adjacent field by the responding officers and was immediately taken to a vet for treatment.

The dog's owner contacted the police station in Nordhausen after the incident. However, the search results do not provide information about the identity of the dog owner.
