Witnesses Sought for Car Accidents and Incidents of Stone Throwing and Burglaries in Heilbronn
In a series of unfortunate events, several incidents have been reported in Heilbronn and its vicinity over the past few days.
On Saturday afternoon, a 62-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident on county road 2107 in Loewenstein, Heilbronn. The accident occurred when a 69-year-old driver in a VW turned left onto the county road from a field path, failing to notice the motorcyclist with right of way. The injured motorcyclist was taken to a clinic via a rescue helicopter.
On the same day, two children were reported to have thrown stones at passing vehicles near the Heilbronner Jaegerhaus. Witnesses with information about these stone-throwing children are asked to contact the Heilbronn police station.
On Sunday afternoon, a Skoda left the A81 near Widdern and ended up on an adjacent forest path. The driver and her three passengers, aged 43, 7, and 4, were lightly injured and taken to a hospital.
Another incident on the A81 near Hardthausen am Kocher saw an unknown road user lose a winch and several lashing straps, causing damage to four following vehicles.
On Sunday evening, a 31-year-old Mercedes driver lost control of his vehicle, colliding with several roadside posts and a patrol car, and fled the scene. The Mercedes, no longer roadworthy, had to be towed away, with damages estimated at around 10,000 euros. The driver was later found and it was discovered that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
In a separate incident, a driver of a Hyundai was hit by a stone on the back right side while driving on Jaegerhausstraße. No further details about this incident are available.
In Jagsthausen, a driver fled the scene after a crash and later crashed again. Details about this incident were not provided.
Criminal activities were also reported in the area. On Monday morning, burglars broke into a single-family home in Heilbronn-Frankenbach, stealing a few hundred euros in cash and other valuable items of unknown value. Unknown individuals also broke into a garage in Oedheim last week, stealing two Winora-brand Pedelecs and a Thule-brand rear bike trailer.
On Friday, unknown individuals broke into a Shisha Bar in Neckarsulm, stealing cash from two arcade machines. As of now, there is no publicly available information about the identity of the perpetrators.
In a more serious robbery, unknown individuals forced their way into a single-family home in Bad Rappenau-Zimmerhof between Thursday and Sunday, stealing jewelry and valuable items of unknown value.
Lastly, unknown individuals broke into a winery in Brackenheim during the night from Friday to Saturday, stealing a low five-figure amount of cash.
