Wordle Solution and Tips for September 7th Edition

In the world of daily puzzle-solving guides and TV show reviews, one author has added a new challenge to their repertoire: Wordle. This daily word puzzle game, with its hidden five-letter word, has taken the internet by storm.

The game is played by narrowing down guesses using feedback provided after each try. The goal is to guess the word in six attempts or fewer. Today, the author decided to give it a go, starting with the word "CLAIM".

The first guess, "CLAIM", had no green or yellow boxes, leaving 655 possible words in play. The author then made a strategic second guess, "STORE". This reduced the possible words to 6.

The third guess, "TENOR", was the Wordle. The author received 1 point for guessing in three attempts, according to the Competitive Wordle scoring system. This system awards 3 points for guessing in 1, 2 points for guessing in 2, 1 point for guessing in 3, 0 points for guessing in 4, -1 points for guessing in 5, -2 points for guessing in 6, and -3 points for missing the Wordle.

Another clue for today's Wordle is that it has more consonants than vowels. The word "tenor" also provides a hint, as it comes from Latin "tenor" meaning "a holding, course, or manner." In medieval music theory, it referred to the voice that "held" the melody. Over time, it broadened in English to mean the general "sense, drift, or course" of something, and later came to denote a particular male singing voice range in music.

The Wordle Bot, an algorithm or program designed to select or evaluate words during the Wordle game, simulating an opponent who tries to guess the hidden word efficiently, started with "SLATE". The author checked their game against the Wordle Bot to analyse their strategy.

Fridays in Competitive Wordle are 2XP, meaning points are doubled. If you beat your opponent in Competitive Wordle, you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. If you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point.

So, if you're looking for a new daily challenge, give Wordle a try! Who knows, you might just beat the Wordle Bot and earn yourself a point or two.
