President Tokayev Highlights the Transformation of Kazakhstan's Oil and Gas Industry

In a ceremony held at Akorda, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated workers and veterans of Kazakhstan's oil and gas industry on their professional holiday. The occasion marked a significant moment in the country's history, as Tokayev underscored the industry's historical significance and continued importance.

Tokayev acknowledged that the oil and gas sector has been a cornerstone of Kazakhstan's economic development for 125 years, since the start of the industry in 1899. He emphasised the need for the industry to meet global standards and embrace innovation and technological modernization to stay competitive.

The President highlighted that modern technologies are expected to optimize extraction, transportation, and refining processes in Kazakhstan's oil and gas industry. Integration of artificial intelligence solutions is one of the priorities for technological modernization, aiming to improve efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.

For the future modernization of the industry, discussed technologies include digitalization, automation, advanced data analytics, and artificial intelligence applications.
