Ionizing radiation protection for workers is yet to receive acceptable legislative approval from the Commission, leaving workers potentially exposed.

The South East Hesse Police Headquarters has announced that it will be conducting speed control checks across various locations in the region from the 4th calendar week of 2025.

The speed control points will be located at accident blackspots, noise protection areas, and high-risk roads. On 20.01.2025, speed control checks will take place on the A 66 towards Fulda at the exit Bad Soden-Salmünster (noise protection area) and on the A 45 at the junction Seligenstadt (high-risk road). On 21.01.2025 and 22.01.2025, speed control checks will take place on the A 66 towards Fulda at the exit Bad Soden-Salmünster (noise protection area). On 22.01.2025, speed control checks will also take place on K 854 towards Erlensee at the end of construction (high-risk road).

On 23.01.2025, speed control checks will take place on L 3268, Hanau, Maintaler Straße, towards Dornigheim (high-risk road) and L 3262, Zeppelinheim towards Buchschlag, between railway line and exit B 44 (accident blackspot).

In addition, speed control checks will take place on 24.01.2025 on B 459, Dreieich towards Offenbach, before Geisfeld roundabout (accident blackspot) and on 25.01. and 26.01.2025 on B 43 a, Hanau towards Dieburg, exit Hanau-Hafen (high-risk road).
