In the heart of the Austrian Alps this year, the adrenaline-fueled FAT International Ice Race played host to a unique blend of high-speed action and cutting-edge technology, courtesy of Polestar.

The main attraction on the track was the spectacle of vehicles with four heavily spiked wheels racing on ice. Among the competitors was Thed Bjork, one of Sweden's greatest ever racing drivers, who has a history with Polestar dating back to his days as a race driver for Cyan Racing.

Off the track, Polestar brought its distinctive racing culture to the paddock. Dan Persson, Polestar's Strategic Creative Director, designed the Electric Garage, a hub for people to experience electric mobility. The centrepiece of the Electric Garage was an elevated Polestar 5, set to become Polestar's most powerful car and available to customers later this year.

The Electric Garage offered a range of interactive experiences, from high-tech racing simulators to bespoke racing helmet painting, all with a futuristic look and feel. Polestar Architect, Dragan Pavlovic, spoke of the challenge and inspiration of creating such a venue in a short amount of time.

Shana Claessens, a Belgian racing driver, reflected on the experience of getting behind the wheel of a Polestar 4 at Circuit Zolder. She shared how it mirrored her own drive and ambition, a sentiment echoed by Polestar Ambassador, swimming superstar Sarah Sjöström, who also participated in the event and expressed her enjoyment.

The Mille Miglia, another unique event that combines racing with fashion, was also described during the race. However, the spotlight remained on the ice, with Sergio Marques finding home wherever his Polestar took him, with one instance being Jokkmokk in late February.

The event was not just about speed and style. It also featured a range of activities such as flying bulls, helicopter rides, and VIP paddocks, making it a truly immersive experience for all attendees.

As the FAT International Ice Race came to a close, it was clear that Polestar had succeeded in creating a movement, crafting thought-provoking, hands-on moments, and showcasing the future of electric racing.
