Worms' Annual Backfishing Event Happening in 2025

Get ready for an unforgettable summer experience as the Backfish Festival returns on August 30, starting at 2 PM. This year's event promises a vibrant mix of music, culture, and entertainment for all ages.

Festival Grounds

The festival will take place at the spacious grounds in Worms, open daily from 2 PM to 2 AM, and free of charge. On Sundays, the festivities start at 12 PM.

Key Venues and Opening Hours

The Worms Festival Tent will be open daily from 6 PM (Saturdays from 4 PM, Sundays from 12 PM).
The Green Room, an alcohol-free area organised as part of the HaLT project of the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Welfare, will be operational daily from 6 PM to around 10 PM, extending until 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Wonnegau Wine Cellar will welcome visitors daily from 6:30 PM, with extended hours on Sundays from 4 PM to 11 PM.
The Beer Garden will be serving cold beverages daily from 2 PM, with Sunday hours starting at 12 PM.
The Info Shop, located in front of the Wonnegauer Weinkeller, will be open daily from 2 PM to 12 AM (Sundays from 12 PM), offering merchandise items and information.

Information and Safety

Stay informed with the Backfish Festival Info Point, located at the bus parking lot on Nibelungenring. It will be operational daily from 2 PM to Midnight, and on Sundays from 12 PM.

For your safety, youth protection controls will be in place during the festival. Bicycles and e-scooters are not allowed on the festival grounds. No alcoholic beverages, drugs, weapons, or pets are permitted on the festival grounds or in the immediate vicinity. The festival grounds will also be video-monitored.

Entertainment and Campaigns

The #wormsliebe campaign will be present on the festival grounds, featuring a photo spot, merchandise items, and various actions such as a tattoo action, glitter tattoos, prize draws, and a 360° camera in the festival tent.

Remember, the consumption of cannabis is prohibited on the entire event grounds. Carrying bottles, hard material objects, and large bags/backpacks is also prohibited.
