Xbox Game Pass subscribers receive significant upgrade, affecting all members, not only Ultimate tier
In a move aimed at attracting more gamers, Microsoft has expanded Xbox Cloud Gaming access to all Xbox Game Pass tiers, including Core, Standard, and Ultimate. This development is exciting for those using Xbox Cloud Gaming on devices like Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K or Samsung Smart TV.
As of now, Xbox Cloud Gaming allows players to stream Xbox games on various devices, including Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, and Samsung Smart TV. However, the new feature rollout is currently available to Xbox Insiders with either Standard or Core membership, but will soon be available to all members.
Day one releases are included in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library, and the new cloud gaming feature is not limited to games available in their respective libraries. It also allows Xbox Cloud Gaming access to games in the respective libraries, plus select PC games, something neither Standard nor Core plans covered before.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which costs £14.99 / $19.99 / €17.99 per month, is considered superb value due to the wide range of benefits it offers. It includes access to a vast library of Xbox titles, PC Game Pass, EA Play, exclusive offers, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. For those who don't own an Xbox console or PC, the new cloud gaming feature is aimed at attracting members who want to game on mobile devices.
Xbox Game Pass Standard costs £10.99 / $14.99 / €12.99 per month and offers access to hundreds of games. On the other hand, Xbox Game Pass Core costs just £6.99 / $9.99 / €6.99 per month and provides access to a curated library of over 25 titles. The new cloud-only tier, if and when it is announced, is expected to be available through the cheaper Game Pass Core or Standard subscriptions.
