Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to push forward with Israel's operation in Gaza City, as negotiations between Israel and Hamas continue to falter. The operation, which Netanyahu stated is part of an effort to complete the crushing of the Iranian axis's chokehold, has resulted in a tragic loss of life.

At least 13 Palestinians, including six children and three women, were killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza City on Sunday morning. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that a total of 64,368 have been killed and 162,776 have been wounded since the start of the war.

Approximately 100,000 Palestinians have left Gaza City in advance of the operation, according to Netanyahu, but international organizations have countered this figure. Bassem Naim, a member of Hamas' political bureau, stated that Hamas won't lay down its arms until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Hamas is ready for a long-term truce and will release the hostages still being held in Gaza in exchange for a number of Palestinians imprisoned by Israel and the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, according to Naim. However, Hamas is still waiting for Israel to respond to a 60-day ceasefire proposal crafted by Egyptian and Qatari mediators last month.

Meanwhile, the Houthi militants in Yemen have stepped up their aerial attacks on Israel, including by deploying warheads with cluster munitions. The Houthis claimed responsibility for a drone attack on Israel's Ramon International Airport near Eilat, which breached Israel's air defenses and caused damage. One person was treated for light shrapnel wounds, and the airport reopened within a couple of hours as normal flights resumed.

The Houthis began firing missiles and drones into Israel in solidarity with the Palestinians after a Hamas attack ignited the Israeli military's campaign in Gaza. No specific information about the name of the third Houthi media representative who wrote on social media after the Houthi missile attack on Ramon International Airport in Israel is available.

As the conflicts in Gaza and Yemen continue, the region remains on edge, with both sides seemingly entrenched in their positions. The hope for a peaceful resolution to these long-standing conflicts remains elusive, as negotiations falter and the loss of life continues.
