Kia Motors, one of the major players, has reduced the prices of their vehicles. Meanwhile, a new entrant, VinFast, has made its mark by launching the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India.
VinFast, a global automotive brand present in 16 countries, is eyeing expansion in the Indian market. The company has announced free charging and maintenance for its customers until 2028, adding an attractive proposition to its electric offerings. It's worth noting that the electric vehicles manufactured by VinFast in India will be exported to multiple countries in the South Asian region.
In the motorcycling sector, TVS Motor Company has celebrated its 20-year anniversary by introducing limited-edition celebratory models and new flagship variants for the Apache range. The new models, including the RTR 160, RTR 180, RTR 200, RTR 310, and RR 310, do not have any specific battery or range details provided. However, they come with features such as a USB charger.
The new top-end variants of the Apache range are priced starting at ₹1.24 lakh, while the VF6 is priced at Rs. 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom), and the VF7 costs ₹20.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The VF6 comes with a 7-year or 2,00,000 km warranty, while the VF7 offers a 10-year or 2,00,000 km warranty. The limited-edition motorcycles feature a distinctive black-and-champagne gold paint scheme, dual-tone alloy wheels, and a commemorative 20-year logo.
Bookings for both the VF6 and VF7 models are open for a token amount of ₹21,000. It's important to note that the new Apache models are not mentioned to be exported to any countries or regions.
Other brands, such as Mahindra, Renault, Toyota, Yezdi, and Jawa, have also announced price reductions following the tax restructuring under GST 2.0.
