Young individuals commencing their training or academic pursuits at the primary customs office in Singen: a gathering of 42
The Main Customs Office Singen, a part of the German Customs Administration (Zoll) under the Federal Ministry of Finance (Bundesministerium der Finanzen), welcomed 42 new trainees on September 1, 2025. The trainees, 37 for middle service and 5 for higher service, will embark on their journey towards a career in customs.
For those interested in joining CUSTOMS, the application deadline for middle and higher customs service, and the study program of administrative informatics is set for October 15, 2025. The young customs officers can expect employment in various areas of customs, including deployment at one of the 14 customs offices of the Main Customs Office Singen, armed control units, financial control of undeclared work, civilian general administration, the inspection service, and various specialist areas.
The theoretical training for the middle service takes place at customs-owned training centers in Sigmaringen, Leipzig, Rostock, Plessow, or Erfurt. On the other hand, the trainees in the higher service will complete a three-year study program leading to a Bachelor of Laws degree, with the theoretical parts being conducted at the Federal Administration Academy in Mรผnster.
The study program of administrative informatics at CUSTOMS offers an additional intake each year on March 1. The application deadline for this is April 15 of the previous year.
