Youngsters sustain injuries as they struggle to locate a missing vehicle
In a tragic incident that took place in the Konstanz district on Saturday afternoon, two young girls aged 10 and 12 were partially severely injured in a traffic accident. The accident occurred at a bus stop in Gaienhofen.
According to the police report, the girls were attempting to cross the road when they failed to notice an approaching car. The 12-year-old girl was struck head-on by the vehicle, while her 10-year-old sister was struck from the side.
The driver who caused the accident was a 63-year-old individual driving a Mercedes. The accident involved a collision with a 22-year-old motorcyclist on Schneckenburgstraße.
Thankfully, a third child who was with the two girls remained unharmed in the accident. The 12-year-old girl was transported to a hospital by helicopter due to the severity of her injuries, while the severity of the 10-year-old girl's injuries is not specified.
The driver of the car has been identified and is currently under investigation. The method of transportation for the unharmed child is not specified.
